While the idea for the Mexican-style pressed sandwich came from Prequel’s owner Johann, bringing that idea to life has been assigned to Devaughn and Ralph. The financial, marketing and operational aspects of Buenas Tortas was piloted with precision by these two interns from the Georgetown Pivot Program; which offers non-credit-bearing certificate in business and entrepreneurship specifically for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Juntos, Spanish for “together”, is a concept designed to be enjoyed with others. Chef Alex Gudiel brings a focus on traditional dishes, executed with high quality ingredients and a passion for seeing guests leave with a smile on their face and a belly full of food.
Prequel is the perfect environment to come with friends, family or coworkers, and Juntos builds off this energy with many dishes that can be shared and passed amongst a group.
The “street tacos” are already proving to be a popular, signature item and the fresh tortillas in the quesadillas make this a stand-out item.
As Chef Alex’s residency continues at Prequel, he will be showcasing weekly specials that draw on his Central American roots and explode with flavors and, for those that can handle it, spice!
The menu will be available daily, as well as a modified version for large group events.
